This cocoa pod breaking machine comprises a fresh cocoa pod splitter and a cocoa pod separator, forming a complete cocoa pod processing production line. It automatically splits fresh cocoa pods, separating the pods from the beans, representing the first step in cocoa bean pre-processing.
Our cocoa pod opening equipment can process 300-1000 kg/h of cocoa pods using food-grade contact materials (304 stainless steel), which is ideal for pre-processing cocoa beans from cocoa-producing regions in Africa, Southeast Asia, and South America.

This cocoa pod separation production line consists of two main machines: a fresh cocoa pod splitter and a cocoa pod husk separator.
Cocoa pod splitting cutter
This cocoa pod husker cuts fresh cocoa pods into two clean hemispheres, replacing the slow and laborious manual opening process. Its controlled cutting mechanism ensures minimal bean damage, consistent cut sizes, and increased whole cocoa bean recovery.

Cocoa husk and bean separator
After splitting, the separator uses rotating drums and a vibration system to quickly separate the beans from the broken pod shells. Special stainless steel contact surfaces ensure a hygienic process and reduce contamination, maintaining the integrity of the beans for direct use in fermentation.
